TopSolid and the Livet Robot
Livet secondary school bought the software TopSolid to the French editor MisslerSoftware in 2002 exactly when the school decided to purchase a 5–axes machining milling center. In order to make use of the machines to the maximum, we needed a CAM able to drive in 5 axes continuous .The school gradually widdened the equipment in terms of licences as well as in "industry" modules.
The modules of the "galaxy" used for this project are the following ones :
- Design : for the CAD of the robot and its modules :
- Draft :for the mapping of parts and work set of Tools .
- Mold : for the design of the plastic injection molds .
- Electrode : for the electrode CAD .
- Progress : for the design of Progressive cutting tools.
- Wire : for the wired EDM Machining (Electrical Discharge Machining).
- Cam : for the millig and turning CAM.
