Genesis of the project
The robot was designed and realized in the french technical
college LIVET of Nantes, France. It is an actual project for students
to learn technologies and practise CAD/CAM exercises. The robot base is
"high quality" and can receive mechanical and electronical devices. It
has many times been used as support for A-level and advanced vocational
training certificate (BTS) exam projects as :
- Wireless object detection device
- Tracking device for folowwing a line
- Robotic arm with 3 degrees freedom and clamping device
At the moment the robot is also used to prctise teaching activities as :
- Computered Aided Design for mechanical robot base
- Computered Aided Manufacturing
- Machining with milling, turning and electo-erosion numerically-controlled machines
- Electronic card fabrication
- Microcontroller programming workshops
